We treat people fairly, by offering faff-free, flexible insurance. 

We make sure our prices are affordable and transparent, by starting from £5 a month and never charging hidden fees.

And we care about the planet, by always looking for ways to reduce our impact on the environment.

Fair to people

Treating customers with respect

When you think of insurance, you might think of baffling questions, inflexible policies and getting stuck listening to hold music when you just want to make a change or cancel your cover.

At Urban Jungle, we’re raising the bar. Getting a quote online for an Urban Jungle policy is quick and simple, and we don’t ask confusing or irrelevant questions (like how flat your roof is, or whether you’re married). 

Our insurance policies are customisable, so you can add what you need, and leave what you don’t. And because everything is online, you can update or cancel your policy for free, 24/7.

Our aim is to be as inclusive and fair as possible. The insurance industry in general has made itself an easy target for fraud by not embracing technology. Some traditional insurers have responded by rejecting anyone who isn’t considered ‘standard’ for cover. 

Our proprietary technology means we can spot fraud more easily, so we can help more of the customers traditional insurers have left behind.

Giving back to our community

We support local charities with regular fundraisers and skills-based volunteering. 

Our two long-standing charity partners are Community Tech Aid, which provides communities with donated technology and Be Enriched, which runs community canteens and a food bus in South London.


Fair to wallets

We believe people shouldn’t have to pay more to be treated fairly. So at Urban Jungle, we offer policies from just £5 a month. 

All our prices are fair and transparent, with no hidden fees, so what you see is what you pay.

Unlike other providers, we don’t charge a fee for making changes to your policy, or if you want to cancel. Plus, you can choose a rolling monthly plan, so you only pay for the months you need.


Fair to the planet

It’s always been important to us to build our business ethically, and that means always looking for ways to minimise our impact on the planet.

We’re an online-first business, meaning less paper wastage, and we use 100% renewable electricity in our office.

In 2021 we became a carbon-neutral company, and we are committed to being (at least) carbon-neutral every year. We offset our carbon emissions by supporting science-backed carbon removal technologies such as direct air capture, tree planting and enhanced weathering. 

Over the next year, we will be increasing our ask of our suppliers around their own carbon neutral status, and how they can move towards carbon reduction.

In 2022, we became a certified B Corporation™. To become a B Corp, companies have to go through a rigorous assessment of their social and environmental performance across five areas - Community, Workers, Environment, Customers and Governance.  We’re proud to meet such high standards.

Becoming a B Corp means we’re leading the way in changing the industry for good. In September 2023, we were named among the top 20 UK tech companies taking climate action by Supercritical, a leading carbon removals marketplace. 

While we’re proud of these achievements, we know there's plenty more we can do, and we're committed to getting it done.
