FAQs: How do I manage, update, or cancel my Urban Jungle Home Insurance policy?

Urban Jungle’s home insurance policies are handled online, so you can update your details, change addresses, or edit auto-renewal options 24/7 via the "My Account" section of the website. 

All our prices are fair and transparent, with no hidden fees (ever). So you’ll always know what you’re going to pay upfront. Unlike most other providers, we won’t charge you for making changes to your policy, or if you want to cancel.

Below you’ll find how you can make changes to your home policy, turn off auto-renewal, update your address, as well as how to find your documents and contact us.

1. How do I make changes to or update my Home Insurance policy?

It’s easy to make an update to your policy, whether you need to change your policy details, cover levels, add housemates or change personal information like your name, home address, and email address. 

You can make most changes by logging into the My Account section of our website and clicking ‘Manage Policy’ then ‘Change policy details’. However, to change your email address or name, please contact us here.

You can make changes to any of our policies at any time, and we won’t charge you to make updates. 

2. How do I turn off auto-renewal on my Home Insurance policy?

Urban Jungle Insurance

Turning off auto-renewal for your Contents, Buildings & Contents or Buildings Only policy is free and easy, you’ll just need to:

  • Log in to the My Account section of our website, using the email address linked to your policy.
  • Click “Manage Policy”
  • Click “Manage renewal or cancel policy”

It's worth noting that turning off auto-renewal will mean that your last day of cover will be at the end of your policy term, whereas cancelling your policy will end your cover immediately. If you have a monthly policy and want to end your policy outside the 14 day cooling off period, you’ll need to turn off auto-renewal by following the steps above.  

Please ensure you do this at least 4 days prior to your next renewal date (you can find your exact renewal date in your policy document). Email confirmation will automatically be sent once this has been done successfully.

Select by Urban Jungle Insurance

Turning off auto-renewal for your Select by Urban Jungle Insurance policy is free and easy, you’ll just need to:

  • Log in to the My Account section of our website, using the email address linked to your policy.
  • Click “Manage Policy”
  • Click “Manage renewal or cancel policy”

Turning off auto-renewal will mean that your last day of cover will be at the end of your policy term, which will be at the end of your annual cover period. This is the case whether you pay for your policy on a monthly or annual basis. 

It’s worth noting that cancelling your policy will end your cover immediately, which is different to turning auto-renewal off.

Please ensure you do this at least 4 days prior to your next renewal date (you can find your exact renewal date in your policy document). Email confirmation will automatically be sent once this has been done successfully.

3. I’m moving home, how do I update my Home Insurance policy?

You can check if we can cover your new address before you move home through the My Account section of the website.

Once you move home, you'll need to update your address online within 2 days of the move (2 days before or after you move). This doesn’t mean that we’ll cover both addresses at the same time, but if anything were to happen at your new address after moving out of the old one and you haven't updated your address yet, we’d be able to consider your claim.

You can update your address by following these steps:

  • Log in through the My Account section of our website, using the email address and password you used when taking out a policy.
  • To update your insured address, click ‘Manage Policy’ and then ‘Change policy details’.

Please note that updating your address may cause the price of your cover to change. We aim to cover most UK postcodes, but we might not be able to cover your new address.

4. How do I find my Home insurance policy documents?

To access your policy documents, you’ll need to login to the My Account section of our website and click ‘Policy details’. You will also have received an email containing your policy documents when you purchased the policy. This email could end up in your spam folder, so please check there first if you can’t find it after 48 hours.

5. How do I contact you?
